- Start CuteFTP
- Open the "Quick Connect"
dialog by clicking on the lightning bolt that is second to the
left on the main toolbar. A second toolbar will appear and your
screen will look similar to the one pictured below.
- Enter the hostname into the box labeled
Host, your username into the User Name box,
and your password in the Password box. When you are finished,
click the lightning bolt to the immediate right of the Port
box. CuteFTP will now attempt to connect to your hosting account.
If you are connected to the Internet and you have entered your
account information properly, you will see messages scroll through
the top window and files appear on the right side of the screen.
When this happens you can then copy files from/to your computer
by dragging them between the panes.
